Respond

WHAT TO DO AND SAY IF YOU SUSPECT TRAFFICKING?

First.... Never engage a Trafficker or Victim by yourself.

If, it is safe, write down the description of the trafficker and victim.

  • What are they wearing, build, hair color and any other identifying information.
  • What type of car are they driving.
  • What type of structure or place are they at.

Here are some suggestions for what to say to a friend or someone you suspect may be in a trafficking situation:

  • What kind of work do you do?
  • Do you get paid?
  • Can you come & go as you please?
  • Where do you sleep & eat?
  • Have you been threatened?
  • Can you leave your job if you want to?
  • What are your living & working conditions like? Do you go to school?
  • What do you think is happening?
